Your Role
As a Regional Coding Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our coding operations strategy. Your responsibilities will include overseeing coding processes, ensuring compliance, and driving operational excellence. You will work closely with various teams to improve clinical documentation, manage coding workflows, and maintain strong relationships with our partners.
What You'll Do
Education and Improvement: Provide coding and documentation improvement education to providers, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
Operational Oversight: Assist in reviewing progress against business expectations and operational metrics, ensuring financial and operational risks are well managed.
Implementation Support: Collaborate with division operations and Central Coding Unit (CCU) teams on practice implementation and acquisition projects.
Communication Leadership: Lead communication efforts with staff, providers, and division leadership to ensure smooth operations.
Guidance and Direction: Offer direction and guidance to practice management and division leadership teams for accurate and efficient coding processes.
Issue Resolution: Work with the CCU to identify and resolve coding issues, ensuring seamless operations.
Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with practice and division leadership to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and efficient coding work processes.
Strategic Relationships: Serve as a liaison between the CCU and practice management, building and maintaining strategic relationships.
Innovation and Best Practices: Lead efforts in innovation, knowledge sharing, and identifying best practices in coding operations.
Education Management: Manage coding education for practice management and staff, ensuring ongoing development and adherence to standards.
Strategic Development: Contribute to the development of strategic direction for coding operations, aligning with organizational goals.
Adherence to Values: Uphold our "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement," ensuring ethical practices.
On-Site Presence: Be present within physician practices regularly, with minimal overnight travel.
Who You Are
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Must hold one of the following certifications: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), Certified Professional Coder (CPC®), Certified Professional Coder - Hospital (CPC-H®), or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC).
Experience7+ years of professional fee coding and revenue cycle operations experience.
5+ years of healthcare management/leadership experience.
Experience With Cerner And EClinicalWorks (eCW) Preferred.Proven ability to lead large organizations.
SkillsStrong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage and improve coding processes.
Proficiency in managing operational metrics and business expectations.
Expertise in building and maintaining strategic relationships.
