A Farewell:After 6 and a half years with #Cerner Corp., I’ve decided to take on a new adventure outside of the only workplace I’ve ever known since finishing college.I’m excited to announce I will be joining #AdventHealth as an IT Integration Analyst in late October. I’ll be supporting (and still learning a great amount) their current Cerner domains from a system integration/interfaces standpoint over the next few years, and then will transition to #Epic with the remaining associates once all facilities have flipped from Cerner (did I just say that!?).I want to thank Cerner and all of the excellent people I’ve worked with over the years who helped shape my career since my first day back in March 2015. From the creaking floors at the Oaks campus supporting PWx Ambulatory domain clients, to merging with the AMS teams supporting the Acute domains at the Continuous campus, to joining the PWx Ambulatory PowerChart Tier 3 team, all the way to supporting and owning an Ambulatory domain at World Headquarters. I never thought I would be where I am after all these years. All of the support tickets worked, escalations managed, incidents attended, late night installs, and everything in between has allowed me to be able to move from one great organization to another. I was told a long time ago about how to be successful at Cerner, and that was it’s not always about knowing the answer to every question, but it is about knowing who knows the answers to those questions. Many also said your first few months “are like drinking out of a firehouse.” Well, that’s absolutely true, but many of us made it because we enjoy the work, the people, and the value we are delivering to those on the frontlines which made it easier to get up each and every day.I cannot overstate enough my thanks to every single person for their impact on my career and the time many of them took to share their knowledge with me. I’ve met and created so many awesome friendships with people which will last even after I’m gone so I hope we stay in touch. While I am definitely excited for the adventure ahead, I will miss the people the most.Jacob

Wow. #Epic #KLAS “The all-important KLAS report on the US acute care EHR market finds that Epic gained 153 hospitals in 2023 while losing none, while all other vendors showed a net loss of hospitals and beds.”

Thank you everyone who attended our AdventHealth session today @ Epic XGM regarding Keepin’ It Real-Time: An ADT Reduction Story. The questions asked and the follow-up conversations thereafter were great to hear. I loved the engagement and enthusiasm for the work we all share in delivering optimizations for our health systems. Please reach out if we didn’t get to speak or meet, or even if you want more feedback, as we would love to guide you on streamlining your ADT interface to save you the extra ADT journey.jacob.gilmore@adventhealth.com#feelwhole #EpicBridges

I’m not sure I will ever have a more full circle career moment than this, but I am (very) humbled, anxious, and excited to be speaking at Epic XGM in May on behalf of AdventHealth. Personally, everyone starts somewhere…maybe even out of college with an Epic competitor in Kansas City — building, growing, etc. All of that work, time, and effort up until this moment for me, personally, is everything. I’m so thankful for the journey. If you haven’t yet and are an Epic client, both new or existing (yes, fun for all 😎), then please check out the session on “Keepin’ It Real-Time: An ADT Reduction Story” under the Data Exchange Advisory Council.Hope to see you there! 🚀💪🏻

It is crazy to think integrating spatial tech into the medical record is right around the corner along with the use of AI. Glad to see Epic already involved which is no surprise.

I feel extremely blessed and proud to call AdventHealth a home away from home and a place to grow and craft a career. This week was the first time since I joined AH back in October ‘21 as a remote employee out of KC where I was able to meet my peers outside of an MS Teams call or chat. Whether it’s meeting with upper leadership who personally took the time to get to know me — even during a busy (but successful!) RMR Go-Live — all the way to breaking bread over home-cooked Indian food among a myriad of other things…it became abundantly clear the leadership and culture is what drives the successes of AdventHealth IT (AIT).And lastly, a shout out to my big bro Kyle Gilmore. In 2014-15 I was a young kid coming out of college with little to no idea of what I wanted to do. He encouraged me to follow him to Cerner and then again several years later after he joined AdventHealth. Neither of these occur without my brother, and if you know him, he’s an opportunist to the core so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised it worked 😂.But you know the best part about AdventHealth? “The work” is just beginning. Thanks be to God. #feelwhole
