Keyboard Shortcuts
Cerner Millenniumapplications typically contain keyboard shortcuts, such as those shown below. In addition, labels are available throughout the application that include an underlined letter, such as View. If the label is attached to a box, button, or menu, press ALT+[UNDERLINED LETTER] to move the pointer or perform the action. For example, pressing ALT+V opens the View menu.

General Tips
Below are tips for general window elements in an application.

Resizing Windows | Resize a window by positioning the pointer on an edge or corner, clicking and dragging the pointer to the appropriate window size. |

Accessing Context Menus | Right-clicking an element or area in the window often displays a context menu that includes a list of commands. Alternatively, select the element and press SHIFT+F10, or (Apple users only) select the element and pressCTRL. Select a command from the context menu to perform additional actions. |

Using the Autohide Option in Cerner Appbar | The Autohide option allows the Cerner Appbar to slide off the desktop when it is docked against one side of the desktop. The Always on Top option places the Cerner Appbar on top of any other windows on the desktop. |

Using Date Spin Boxes
Use time spin boxes to select a date or access a command from its context menu.
Selecting a Date
Use the following tasks to interact with a date-related spin box:

Using a Keyboard | Use the keyboard keys below as shortcuts while viewing Date spin boxes. The SHIFT key may be needed to access the PLUS SIGN (+), but it is unnecessary for all other keys.

Date spin boxes use the short date style that is defined in your computer's regional settings. You can display either two- or four-digit years. To change your computer's date style, from the Start menu, selectSettings > Control Panel > Date/Time. (ForApple computers, select System Preferences > Date & Time > Clock.) For date style changes to take effect, you must exit and reopen yourCernerapplication.
Note
If your preferences are set to display two-digit years, all years before 1950 are saved to the database as 20xx. For example, if you enter 1/1/49, it is saved as January 1, 2049.
Using the Date Context Menu
The following commands are available in the context menu for a date-related spin box:

Select | Selects the information in the spin box. |
Set to Today | Enters the current date. |
Set to Shown Week's Start | Enters the date of the first day of the currently entered week. |
Set to Shown Week's End | Enters the date of the last day of the currently entered week. |
Set to Shown Month's Start | Enters the date of the first day of the currently entered month. |
Set to Shown Month's End | Enters the date of the last day of the currently entered month. |
Set to Shown Year's Start | Enters the date of the first day of the currently selected year. |
Set to Shown Year's End | Enters the date of the last day of the currently selected year. |
Undo | Reverses the previous command or deletes the last entry. This command is available only after you update the spin box. |
Cut | Cuts and copies the selected information. |
Copy | Copies the selected information. |
Paste | Pastes copied information into the spin box. |
Delete | Deletes the selected information. |

Using Spreadsheets
Use the following tasks to interact with spreadsheets:
