CPDI Work Queue Monitor (CDIWorkQueueMonitor.exe) is an external document management solution that allows you to route documents to specific queues and associate those documents to the correct place in the electronic health record (EHR). You can automatically populate work queues from faxes, scanned documents, or both. These documents are called work items and are routed to the appropriate work queue based upon inbound or outbound fax number. The appropriate personnel work the work items. For example, a patient access associate may receive an outside record by fax. The associate can index the outside record to the specific patient and document type and complete the work item, making the work item viewable in Cerner Millennium. This keeps the faxed electronic document and eliminates the need to print and scan it.

CPDI Work Queue Monitor can be used to manage all types of external document processes and tasks. Listed below is an overview of the features and functions available.

  1. From the CPDI Work Queue Monitor window, select the appropriate queue. Multiple queues can be displayed based upon security.

  3. Locate the work item you want to manage. Select the appropriate command from the Work Item menu. You can also right-click a work item to access the commands available from the Work Item menu.
